"As a sys admin, I consider my customers the users. I have two constituencies: Management wants good information, and in order to get good information, I have to make it as efficient as possible for the users. I don't want to hear salespeople whine, 'Do you want me getting deals or entering things into Salesforce?'" - Salesforce Administrator
Page Layout Editor is one of the most used administrative features of Salesforce. 80% of Salesforce administrators utilize this feature in order to customize Salesforce pages for their users. A small team of 3 were given 6-weeks to significantly improve the user experience for this product. Their major constraint was that they couldn't introduce any new features which would add to the development time as the development team had very limited time to work on this. My job was to challenge the team to push the boundaries by giving them design direction and providing a lot of feedback.
